Earthbind™ Hydro Seed
Product Overview
EarthbindTM is considered an environmentally safe product that can be applied to bare soil surfaces to control erosion and aid in vegetation establishment. Earthbind is considered effective as a seed tackifier and hydraulic mulch. When Earthbind is utilized with hydro seeding, it can aid in retaining soil moisture; Earthbind can protect the surface from winds that sweep away moisture, minimizing sub-surface water loss. It will also darken the soil surface thereby increasing the soil temperature and can accelerate seed germination by allowing the treated soil surface to absorb more radiant energy.
As a tackifier or hydraulic mulch Earthbind can:
- Anchor seed to the bare soil surface to ensure vegetation establishment
- Absorb rainfall
- Shield seedlings from rain-drop impact, wind and water erosion
- Enhance germination
- Prevent the introduction of noxious weed seeds
- Increase soil cation exchange capacity by introducing additional carbon to the soil
- Protect seeds from the depredation by birds and rodents
When used for Hydro seed, Earthbind is:
- Easily applied in a complete uniform coverage
- Quickly applied without any special site preparation
- Applied hydraulically using standard application equipment (water cannon, hydroseeder)
